Recently we decided to buy the Kilner Breakfast Jar to make overnight oats especially for when Jordan is getting up from a night shift and wants something to just grab and eat. We looked online and having already owned several Kilner products for preserving we decided to buy their breakfast Jar on Amazon.
Firstly, the Jar itself as expected is of good quality and you even get a Viners spoon with the set. Viners for those who don’t know is apart of the same group of companies which include Kilner, Viners & Mason Cash all brands in which we recommend. This is my favourite Recipe and it’s a Kilner one.
Recipe: Strawberry Cheesecake Overnight oats
50g or 1/3 cup of Instant oats
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 pot of fat free vanilla yoghurt
35g or 1/4 cup of light cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 6-8 Fresh Strawberries
In a bowl mix together the vanilla yoghurt, cream cheese and vanilla extract. This gives you the base of the cheesecake. Cut and half the strawberries and add to the mixture. Using the Kilner measuring cup lid and measure out 50g or 1/3 cup of oats and add half to the breakfast jar along with half of the cheesecake mixture. Add the other half of the oats on top, then the rest of the mixture. The layers will allow all of the oats to be properly soaked by the mixture. Add the remaining strawberries on top of the mixture, place the lid on the jar and store in the fridge ovrrnight.
